Using Colours (2)

More Colours

With this clever piece of scripting, all you have to do is select the name of the colour you want to see from the drop-down list.

You will notice that the default on this page setting is 'white' which has an RGB code of '255 - 255 - 255' and a hexidecimal code of '#ffffff'. You may also notice in the bottom left-hand corner of this page is a list of colours, one seems to be missing, but that's white and the border of this page is, er, white!

So, select a colour from the list and the white border (or background) will change to the nominated colour.

Color:

RGB: Red Green Blue

HEX:

The idea is this - you select the background colour you like and then look at the list of coloured text to see what goes with what - or doesn't - as the case may be!

Once you have chosen a colour, click on the 'Convert to RGB/Hex' button which will convert both the RGB and the hexidecimal code for you to reflect the new background colour.

Clever isn't it? My thanks to HTML Clinic for this one.

An even quicker way to see how the text on the left will show up is to move your cursor over the following colours:

Red ~ Orange ~ Yellow ~ Green ~ Blue ~ Purple ~ Black ~ White
